urbandecayno5 40 Posted May 6, 2012 Im not allowed and im almost 2 weeks post op. I think ice cream has way to much stuff that isn't good for you(sugar and so on). Your probably better off freezing yogurt and having that

LTARLTON 7 Posted May 6, 2012 Okay here's a thought. 5 packs koolaid Sugar substitute (whatever is equivalent to 4 cups regular sugar) Water Put it in your ice cream freezer and freeze it just like ice cream. I haven't tried it yet with sugar substitute but I know its great with regular sugar. I hope the substitute wouldn't hinder the freezing process. Like I said.....it was just a thought! marisa.rose 6 Posted May 6, 2012 I ate ice cream a couple weeks out also. I don't think its a huge deal because you won't be able to eat all that much of it anyway... I thought since it was a liquid I would be able to eat too much, but found out quickly that my sleeve didn't like all the coldness.
Mrs. KC 5 Posted May 6, 2012 Let me know how the ice cream works for u!
MyGastricSleeveLife 180 Posted May 6, 2012 I've read a lot of people are lactose intolerant after surgery, so I think I'd just say be careful what kind you get. I know I have SF Popsicles on my list & I know someone mentioned fudgscicles at their full liquid stage. I think you still have to be careful though.
