Slim fast ready to drink low carb chocolate is my favorite for Breakfast and lunch I have power Protein which has 35g for only 11ounces they are 3.45 a can at my Vitamin shop bannana cream and chocolate is good the Cookies and cream I couldn't drink. Then I sip on Isopure 40g thru the day. At 20 ounces. And 4$ bottle squeeze in one shot of matching flavor mio and it doesn't taste like Protein Drink just like koolaid.

Then I have eggs for Breakfast tune for lunch and then some sort of dinner tonight I made roast chicken with garlic and onion stuffed in the cavity and between skin then baisted every twenty cooked till just done but supper moist, sweet potato chucked tossed in olive oil red pepper chilli powder and pinch of salt and brown sugar roasted 45 min on 400 then made steamed carrots mine cooked all three baby ones till the were mush. I chew everything till it is nothingness before swallow and I have had no problems I am three weeks out and was alllowed saltines today yay! They went great with the tuna salad i made..... I can't wait for raw veggies!

Btw I only had three baby carrots, 1 ounce of sweet potatoes and 2 ounces of chicken and it took me a hour to finish. I been working on eating slower between bites hoping to help heartburn... And I chew everything to nothingness. It felt so great to cook a real normal meal for us tonight. Next week I'll be a month out I can't wait

Because you aren't getting in enough calories and my surgeon said it could be damaging to your liver and kidneys too early out.

I'm surprised because it was on the list for Protein that my doctor recommended.

It was on our list too per our nutritionist but our surgeon had her pull it off because of the creatin. Too early out without enough calories, it could damage your kidneys and livers. Plus it's a weight gainer. Do you really want that?

Ahh gotchya, our surgen and nutritionest work close together. So i mean for me personally i will still go ahead and use the body fortress because it was recommended by them, and I've already bought some and don't want them to go to waist especially since i cannot afford to buy any other kinds. But i will deffinately be asking my ssergeon and nutritionalist about it to see what they have to say. Thanks for bringing that up though, because i had never heard about that.

I use a GNC product. It is the Amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60 in vanilla flavor. It taste pretty good and u can get 60g of Protein with one shake. I drink my shake for Breakfast and keeps me worry free from wondering if I had enough Protein during my day. Try it.

So, I have heard and read and also had my health care team tell me that anything over 30 grams of Protein at one time your body can't use and it will go to waste. I was told to not bother with anything that was over 30 grams per serving. Has anyone else had this advice or know anything about this issue?

Have anybody tried The Body Fortress Protein from Walmart? It has 30 gr protein.vanilla cream.

I have tried the chocolate, strawberry & vanilla (not too bad)... try putting it in a blender with ice & fat free milk. I also add sugar free pudding mix(just a little bit) for a variety of flavors...

I just asked my surgeon about this yesterday... He said your body will use all that it needs & if it doesn't need all that you ingest at one time you just pee it out. He did say it's better to spread it out over a period of time.

Protein is such an issue for me, I just can't stand the taste of any of it. Isopure works best for me right now. Grape flavor is my favorite, Apple Melon is ok, and I'm trying the blue one tomorrow. Is it really too much to ask for a completely tasteless Protein? :D

I agree with you on the nectar drinks. I haven't found a single flavor I like. I second the comment on Muscle Milk...very good but a little costly. For the money, I like the Body Fortress Protein Shake available at Walmart. It has 26 grams of Protein per serving and, if you use skim milk instead of Water, it totals at 35 grams per serving. Hard to beat that, and it tastes pretty good too.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
