emilie716 3 Posted May 5, 2012 My name is emilie and I am 2 years in had my sleeve done April 6 2010 and I have to say it has been one of the best things I have ever done for my self in my life. At the time of surgery I weighed 325 pounds and today I am sooooo proud to say I weigh 180 pounds looking for support being that I don't know many people who have the sleeve and though support groups are offered by the surgeons am always at work then they have them I joined this site to share my experiences and thoughts recipes and ears to any and all who are willing to talk. Wishing everyone a great day and much success in your journey! 3 ValerieSJackson, StrangelyNormal and 2BThinAlways reacted to this

emilie716 3 Posted May 7, 2012 Would love to talk more!! Best Protein Shakes I have found are either the ones from special k or herbal life shakes but they can be a little pricey......I don't have some skin on my arms and thighs but other than seeing a plastic surgeon to discuss the surgery I haven't done anything about it yet. It is expensive and I would have to take off about a months from work and being a single mother I just can't afford it yet I am always willing to talk about my experiences and make a friend so feel free to ask me anything lol be well and talk to u soon
emilie716 3 Posted May 7, 2012 Correction: lol I do have skin on my arms and thighs lol
Tameka 42 Posted May 7, 2012 Is the loose skin so bad that you can't wear certain things... I guess I'm asking is it bearable without you feeling bad. Only asking because I have huge thighs that weigh probably 100 lbs by themselves.
emilie716 3 Posted May 7, 2012 Honestly it can be uncomfortable at times, the skin on my arms is such that I wouldn't wear a tank top and the skin on my thighs made being in a bathing suit kind of uncomfortable however I went on the beach in just a bathing suit anyway and that alone was liberating enough to make me forget all about the skin...........
