Actually it was towards the rear of the plane but it was a bigger plane. The smaller plane I got a window seat so no one would irritate me. They fixed me up. The flight to mexico irritated me so bad I almost offered this kid $100 bucks to sit next to the window. He was knocked out before I got to that point though so I just dealt with it but I did learn from that mistake hence why I approached the desk upon arrival for my flight back home

I am booked with United, I just called them because I noticed in their website they have a number for persons with "disabilities". 1-800-228-2744 if anyone else is flying with them (you can do this even if you did not book directly with them, I booked my thru priceline.... I told them I was flying to have surgery and needed isle seats the closer to the restrooms the better (I am always afraid of having to throw up in a bag LOL) they gave me all isle seats and tried to get me as close to the restroom as possible. They also requested wheelchair assistance for me (I definitely won't need it on the way there but since I am going alone, it will be nice to have someone help me with the luggage, specially after surgery, I am afraid I will hurt after to carry it). I don't have to pay for any of this! I will make sure to get out of the seat often and walk around to prevent blood clots and will also be wearing compression stockings both ways.

I am just going to ask at the desk, on the way home, if they have extra seats & if so could I upgrade. I will explain I just had bariatric surgery & the extra room will help. See if they charge me. If they do, hoping it is $500 or less. If it is more I will probably skip it & just stick with my aisle seat in economy class.

I upgraded my daughter last July for $175.00. The flight was from San Diego to Atlanta. I fly tomorrow for my revision on Wednesday. I am so excited.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
