Beevis and Butthead moment here: teeheehheee 'he'd punch him in the face' hehehe that just cracks me up for some reason.

Aside from that part though, that guy sounds like a real tool. YUCK.

I hope I dont get too pissy about it cuz it seems perfectly natural to me to be more attracted..

I think there's a facet of this that has been overlooked! I don't think the guys are all shallow and just attracted because of size; I think that as we lose weight we become so much more confident.......we carry ourselves differently and tend to make eye contact and maybe even smile more!! Perhaps THIS is what attracts the attention from some guys!! Thank goodness I don't have to worry about.....I'm lucky to have a hubby who loves me no matter what (I think!)!! Hang in there!!

I didn't have to go through this, but I would think that I would feel flattered, but I would never date one of them. If I wasn't good enough for them before, then they can eat dirt now. My husband accepted me for the person I was, not for what I looked like. Now he is very supportive of my decision, but doesn't think it was necessary as far as what I looked like. He does understand however, that my health and my grandchildren were and are my primary decision maker. Oh, and I forgot to mention, my husband knew me for many years and we dated when I was younger and smaller. He didn't care how much I changed over the years. He loved me for me. That's what you want.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
