uwishtoo 15 Posted May 3, 2012 Ok so this is a stupid question and I haven't been able to find anyone with this question I am a 54 year old female and I am going in for the gastric sleeve at the end of June or early July (haven't gotten the call back from the hospital coordinator yet) and one of my concerns is being able to ride my motorcycle. Yeah I know, stupid but I ride a 750 pound motorcycle and I do have a car for going back and forth to my clients for my business but I also love to ride on the weekends or at nite when I get home from working Any guys or gals also ride that might be able to tell me their experiences? Thanks Holy Crap I am nervous but ready to get this done
Swimmer 199 Posted May 3, 2012 I don't see why you would have an issue. I've seen people back to riding horses within a month. I was swimming at two weeks out very hard too. I did wait until six weeks to golf because it wasn't comfortable and I worried about hurting my sleeve. Good luck to you!
uwishtoo 15 Posted May 3, 2012 I have a friend who had the DS surgery and he rides ALL the time now. Shouldn't be a concern. Thanks - I would think maybe a week or two tops til I heal at least enough to use my stomach muscles for riding
isntsheclever 38 Posted May 3, 2012 I rode at about 10 days post op. No harmful effects felt or seen.

uwishtoo 15 Posted May 3, 2012 I rode at about 10 days post op. No harmful effects felt or seen. Awesome thanks. By the time my surgery is going to happen it will be 118 here anyway so that's why I am doing it during the summer. If it was in March or April I would say no way since I ride every day other then June - August
