My Gastric Sleeve Journey Begins June 5Th

I would like to introduce myself. I am a 39 yr old divorced mother of 12 yr. old boy/girl twins. Being overweight is consuming my life so I have made the decision to have gastric sleeve performed on June 5th. It was approved by my insurance & I am taking the summer off of work. My weight has ballooned to 287 lbs. I have severe sleep apnea. I don't like the way I look. I keep thinking of all the painful remarks that hurt my feelings. My ex-husband called me a "fat hillbilly" during one of our last arguments before we split up. I am having the surgery for me but the look on his face when I am down to my fighting weight will be priceless. I am hoping to make some friends on this site. I am going to need support and a community to help me through this process. I am feeling so many emotions but I am really looking forward to these life changes & hope to have a positive, healthy future.

Welcome !!!! This community is awesome and what you are doing for yourself is amazing..being healthier is always the way to go..I have 19 days to get sleeved..congrats for making the decision!!
