I say fight the urge. It has a lot of fat and carbs in it and you will only regret it.

Yeah, I'd pass on Beans and hot dogs this early, too. Matter of fact, I'd pass on pork and beans forever. Not one of my favorite foods...and they are incredibly sweet to me!

Try to concentrate on something else? How much Water have you managed to drink today? What are you actually allowed to eat right now? If you're really craving the beanie weenies, maybe you can create something that has similar flavor but IS allowed. If you're allowed instant mashed, maybe put some of the juice from the pork and Beans over a tablespoon of mashed and savor it. :) I actually dipped my fork in potted meat and then in my scrambled egg when I was on mushies! :)

Yeah, it's normal at this stage. It WILL get better soon. You'll figure out what works for you as you move through the food stages. Once you have that figured out, this will be much easier! :) I think SF popsicles count as part of your Water intake, but double-check what your surgeon recommended rather than take my word for it. :)

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
