tmlockez 6 Posted May 2, 2012 How long did it take for your big incision to heal? I mean the one the pulled the stomach out of....mine is healing but funky looking compared to the other 4.
Lissa 2,631 Posted May 2, 2012 I think mine took about 4 weeks to be completely healed over. It's the only incision I can still find.

tmlockez 6 Posted May 2, 2012 My Dr. told me it would look funkier, but when I actually got a look at it....I was a bit put off.
tmlockez 6 Posted May 2, 2012 The rest I can barely see. They don't itch, but the area itches.
2BThinAlways 17 Posted May 2, 2012 Mine took about four weeks as well, and yes, super itchy about two weeks out ...
barrbdoll 287 Posted May 3, 2012 I only had 3 incisions.... each about 3/4 of an inch long....... I'm 16 days post op and I would say mine were fully healed in 10 days and barely noticeable. Not sure of the others but mine were surgically glued shut....
rodswife 155 Posted May 3, 2012 I'm a month out and my large incision still has a scab on it.
krissy20 27 Posted May 3, 2012 I'm three weeks post op today and they are all itchy they are all healed except for that big one still has a scab . Does everyone still feel pain/soreness to that big incision ? How long till that goes away ?
julieulie 0 Posted May 3, 2012 I was sleeved on April 4th. All that is left now are red lines which I am hoping will fade. Scabs went away a couple weeks after surgery. I had six incisions and the big one was definitely funny looking. It's still a little wavy compared to the others but when I first had it, there was even a dent in the stomach above it as if it was caving in a little. When they were closing up, they turned itchy. But be very careful to never scratch the incisions themselves! (Obvious I know but a reminder is always helpful if they are really itchy.) Lightly scratching the area around the incisions helped with the itching.
