My experience is some of the things I used to love just don't taste all that great any more and after a few bites I'm done and sort-of loose interest in them. I'm four months out and can usually tolerate a few bites of just about anything as long as I'm very careful to chew and eat slowly if it's a denser Protein. My mom made pot roast and noodles about a month ago and I had a little trouble with that and I'm not sure if it was the food or that I ate to fast.

I have a hard time with things that are too sugary although this seems to be getting a little easier as time goes on (unfortunately!).

Good luck with your sleeve. Take care of it and ease into foods as you go. That's what's worked best for me at least!

My problem is concentrating while I eat. If I don't pay attention I take big bites like I used to when I consumed buffets. When I notice I have too much in my mouth I have to chew a lot and try to swallow small, not easy.

I'm going against 63 years of programming. My dear mother was always concerned about me not eating enough due to times when I was skinny and sickly. As mothers do, she couldn't get that skinny kid out of her mind. She had a hard time adjusting to me being me being overweight, she still asked me if I was eating enough. :blink::)

      Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

        Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...
