I still have trouble sleeping and some pain in the from and back in the same section. I am glad I did this but did not prepared for the problems that have happen. Hoping that I did not cause aproblem with my sleeve. back to the liquid that one day of pureed may have caused a problem OMG. I am scared and alone.

If you are worried, call your doctor. I started pureed food the day I got home from the the hospital. All doctors are different. As for the BM, remember, you aren't getting in much Fiber so you won't have normal BMs. I went almost 10 days with out a BM. I finally began taking a fiber substitute and I feel much better. Don't stress too much. Again, if you are concerned, call your doc. :)

Okay, first, take some Gas X and then some Milk of Magnesia. My doctor told me its not unusual for your BMs to go from regular to once every 3 or 4 days, so don't freak out. Take some pain killers and relax (I assumed you were prescribed some). You had major surgery not to long ago and your body is still healing, it'll be okay. As for moving too fast to the puree stage, think about it this way: it seems everybody here is on a different diet. Some people seem to move to full chewable foods while my doctor still has me sipping my food. There is some relative give and take in the diet. If you're super concerned call your doctor and check, but as long as you don't get a fever or start throwing up I think you'll be okay.

Lyra gave some very good advice. There are always nurses you can call at the surgeons office. But the post-op diets truly vary so so much. I'm sure you're just fine. Take a deep breath, some milk of Magnesia and start stickin to a strict liquid diet til you see your surgeon.

:-)

Thanks guy i was freaking out a bit i called and was told to go back on the pureed but tried ground chicken and only eat one ounce of it with a table spoon of vegetable and tablespoon of applesauce. I may have not tolerate the pureed chicken breast. They told me to drink milk of magnesia to help with a bowel movement but i did it with out. I am so new to this that I do worry in a big way.

Just relaxing now taking it slow.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
