I read somewhere that the gherlin that makes us hungry also helps with our memory. So when we lose the gherlin, we might lose some of our memory. I'm not sure where I found the article. It might be worth googling gherlin and memory.

I read that it was because of Vitamin deficiency. As long as we take our Vitamin meds regularly, I dont think it would be a problem. But I'm going to ask my doc about this during my next visit. I'm scared now! :(

The question was for preop people of three years or more and if they have noticed any memory changes...since grehlin is very linked to memory....the surgery gets rid of the biggest grehlin producer of the body so i imagine that would be tied to memory loss.

Read the research and statistics section on this site. There is a year and a half old link called gherlin and learning. It should answer all your questions.

You go to tickerfactory.com and build a ticker. Then go to settings; signature and copy the line from tickerfactory.com that says bbcode into your signature. Good luck!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
