sym38 7 Posted April 28, 2012 My doctor gave me the go ahead on driving at my one week post op appointment for short trips. He said there was no danger in driving, except maybe long distances, because the anesthesia would be in my system for a while and may cause sleepiness on a longer trip. I didn't have any trouble. Good luck! 1 Ms skinniness reacted to this

azquilter92 82 Posted April 28, 2012 I think as long as you are comfortable doing it and of course off pain medication (Perscription stuff ) for 24 hrs, you're good
diochick 40 Posted April 29, 2012 I had my surgery on a monday, and I was driving by that Thursday evening (which is also when I went back to work). My car is a manual transmission, and it was a little painful to shift, but overall I was fine my drive to and from work (36 miles each way).
