kellythestarr 39 Posted April 28, 2012 I am on day 5 of my liquid diet and surgery is in 2 days. I just am not feeling like myself at all and I am wondering if this is normal. Like I am NOT pleasant to be around right now and I am being mean to people I love lol! It's not funny at all because I am quite upset about it. I don't know I'd I am stressed out or ify body is freaking out from no food or what. Anybody else go through this?
neeve 12 Posted April 28, 2012 Im only on day 2 of a 5 day protien diet and I feel short tempered with everyone too. I think its the tension of the whole thing and the lack of food. All I can do is think about something to eat. Today I took a nap just to pass time. Good luck but seems like its normal.
Bubbaloo10 55 Posted April 28, 2012 Being grouchy is not unusual.....in fact, I even expected it and warned my wife ahead of time and asked her to be paitient with me when I act like a jerk. She did, to her credit and my good fortune. Try talking to your loved ones and ask for their understanding. Explain that this is a big step that means alot of hormone and habit changes and that you just have to work through it. Trust me, it will get better very soon after surgery. I'm 12 days out and feel great. I got very airheaded and forgetful and I think that was part of what was making me grouchy, knowing I was not 100%.
KBT 35 Posted April 29, 2012 Not only are you nervous about the upcoming surgery and anticipation of changing your whole life, you are also off sugars, carbs and the fat that got us all in this place we are in. Add that all together and it's only normal to feel grumpy and out of sorts. My liquid diet starts Monday and I fully anticipate feeling this way.
