Dud2Stud 25 Posted April 28, 2012 THis whole weight loss thing still hast hit me even though I'm down over 110lbs since my surgery last year!!! I went to Walmart the other day and I tried on a pair of 36" jeans and they for perfect.... I remember trying to squeeze into 48-50's just last year and it seems so surreal!!! People treat me so differently now an there isn't a day that doesn't go by that girls are complimenting me on how good I look... No better feeling Ohh and my new passion for fitness and helping people is driving me to becoming a personal trainer... My specialty niche will be working with obese and pre and post operative weight loss surgery people.... Living and loving life all due to my sleeve and hard work as well... : ) Before @ 350lbs 3 MGM, Musharooni and 2BThinAlways reacted to this

AliveAgain 283 Posted April 28, 2012 Way to go! It is funny how it takes a while for our brains to catch up to our bodies, isn't it? I remember going through boxes of clothes I'd saved on my way up the scale from a 4/6 to a 22/24. Staring at jeans thinking, "I will NEVER fit in these again!" - yet every month I visit my little treasure box and start pulling out the next size. I still look at them and think, "nope" then start sliding them on and holy cow I can zip and button! Good luck with your goals, I think the best healers are those who were once ill themselves.... yoshikitty 8 Posted April 29, 2012 In the course of your journey did you ever relapse and have to get back on track?
Dud2Stud 25 Posted April 29, 2012 @yoshikitty Yes I slip up all the time but do my best to do the right things but if I want to go out to eat for a special outing I won't hold back and say I can't.... Don't use that word anymore and just keep co conscious of what I eat and make sure I bust my tail at the gym.....
yoshikitty 8 Posted April 29, 2012 So do you think it is possible to ruin your sleeve, like it will not do its job anymore? (Ex. If you've been making not so good food choices (candy mainly and not in moderation) or is that just silly talk?)
Dud2Stud 25 Posted April 30, 2012 You can definately ruin your sleeve.... Although you will never be able to eat the amounts you used to I know that anybody can easily eat 3,4,5,000 calories a day if they ate crap like ice cream (slider foods) and all that!!! If you are conscious of what you put in your mouth you will never lose to much track and will be able to have those days where you can relax a little... Working out is a must.... We don't want to be skinny fat people... Tone up an slim down at the same time so the process is smooth sailing and look half way decent when we get down to goal weight.... But yes some of the stuff they say is silly talk but for the most part it is all great advice... My secret if I'm gonna go off course a little is to eat a salad or veggies before my guilty pleasure and I get full and my calorie intake wasn't all that bad...
