My kids are 9 & 11 I told them what I was doing and they understand I also stress to them they don't want to end up doing what I did far as letting my self go and hiding in the house & behind Facebook and such cause I let my self go. Since the we as a family been making better choices on how & what were going to eat. I think this surgery has made us closer and my husband & kids really get a chance to see the real me & the demons mommy are fighting . My kids are very mature for their ages but they are happy that I got the surgery and they are at the age what goes on in our house stays in our house.

My girls are 7 and 2. I told them I had to go to the hospital to have surgery on my stomach. The older daughter did not ask any questions at all. I think if you make a big deal about something, the kids will make a big deal. My baby girl just wants to kiss my boo boo =)
