I was the same way. Your new sleeve is swollen. Each day gets easier. Try to get your fluids in. Room temp Water goes down a lot easier. Good luck and don't force food or liquid. Sip sip sip

Yes it is normal. I was the same way. I was told that the mind has to get to the same page as your stomach. I sipped alot of Water and Lemon crstal light. It will take a while for you stomach to allow other items. Just try to have something every hour. Tea, broth, Water, crystal light try Jello too.

Good luck

I seem to like cold liquids more than warm liquids. you'll get better i am 7 day post op today, just remember if you crave something dont do it you'll get sick . let your sleeve heal. good luck .....oh walk walk walk......i am walking six miles a day as of today good way to release the gases

Totally normal, I was the same way. Room temperature or warm liquids go down a lot better than cold. I sipped alot of warm tea and chicken broth for the first few weeks. Don't get discouraged, it does get better!

You shouldn't be eating anything at this point. Try some low sodium Wyler's chicken boullion. You will find it better to have warm or room temp liquids rather than very cold or on ice at this early stage. Try SF jelloe or SF pops. Your sleeve needs to heal. iIt is still swollen so treat it with care and you will be OK. Your food time will come, don't worry.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
