Melissa D 34 Posted April 26, 2012 I was just looking for a pair of big, comfy yoga pants to wear home from the hospital lol. My surgery isn't until May 15th (just over 2 weeks!), but I like to plan ahead And as I was going through all these clothes, I start tossing a bunch into a garage sale pile. If it's too big right now, it will definitely be too big after my 2 week Pre-op diet, then surgery. How liberating to think that I will never wear those sizes again. I have a brand new pair of shorts from Walmart with the tags still on it (clearance for $1!) in the next size up. Just waiting for when I will fit into it some day. How depressing that thought was. I also found a big pile of running skorts, racer tops & other exercise clothes from when I did Couch 2 5K a few years ago. I stopped running due to calf pain which I haven't been diagnosed, but I believe I have peripheral artery disease. I sincerely hope it goes away because I like running and want it to be a goal to run a marathon some day (if it goes away). One of my heroes is Dean Karnazes - I recently met him at a 5K in Kansas City. Anyway, it was exciting to get rid of all those clothes & I just had to share. Half my closet is gone now though!!! Looking forward to new, smaller clothes soon 2 Kat Crowder and Lissa reacted to this

KBT 35 Posted April 29, 2012 My surgery is May 14th too! I haven't touched my closet as nothing in there is too big for me. I am at my highest weight. As an incentive, I want to go out and buy a pair of jeans that I hope to wear once I hit my goal weight.

heartnurse 1 Posted April 29, 2012 What a great idea, at the very least I could clean out the clothes that I don't wear often (such as to weddings and other occasions)!
