Don't rush it. Your are losing weight and feeling better so what is a few more months?? Besides, you may think of other things to put on your tat. :clap2:

I'm planning on using a tattoo as a goal weight reward, so when I hit 400 I will be getting a heart, x and o tattooed in that order top to bottom directly over my spine between my shoulders, I don't think I will be getting any plastic surgery there, but it was a thought when I considered it.

can I ask why you want a big oak tree?

there are lots of reasons, but mainly because i want something beautiful. i want it to be like a painting on my back. and i like the oak because its strong.

I got a new tat last night. It's on the top of my left foot, a safe place I figured for my weight loss journey. It's so beautiful! I love it. I will try and post a pic this weekend if anyone is interested.

I have one on my lower back right above my rear. It is fared really well with my weight loss so far. But when I got it, I was careful to have it positioned in a place that wouldnt change too drastically with weight gain or loss.

Nola,

I was just realizing that all of my tats are older than you. Now that makes me feel old.

My armadillo on the top of my right foot is fine. The snake, rose, and three cherries on my rear end has fared well. The shovelhead motor with flames on my lower stomach is a mess. The butterfly, Water lily and phoenix on my right breast has fared okay - not great but okay.

Hope this helps. This is one of the few times I have admitted all my tats. Celeste

I promised to post a pic of my new tat. It was taken the day after I got it so my foot is pretty swollen and it was with the camera phone so not the best quality but here ya go!

Just make sure that you are letting it get plenty of air and not wearing socks or stockings over it. Also remember once it is healed make sure to protect it with sunscreen when it is exposed. It's really pretty~Mandy

Thanks Mandy! I have been hopping arounf with flip flops on when I have to wear shoes and trying to go without as much as possible. It was really swollen this weekend so I have just been trying to keep it elevated.Too bad they won't let me go barefoot at work! I can't believe how bad getting the top of my foot tattoo'd hurt! Ouch!

I know that feeling, I have both feet tattooed and it sucked. I have more tattoo work than the average biker and I was sweating during my feet tattoos. Just make sure if you have to wear socks to work that you get the sock really wet before taking it off, it will help to remove it without removing that top layer of skin. If you have any questions I have been in the tattoo industry for over 10 years and would be happy to help. ~Mandy

Hey! Cool tattoo, chicky! I love it, DH is here looking over my shoulder admiring it also. Mandy - I have a tat question for you, if you don't mind... Is it true that red ink is the one color that cannot be laser removed? Also, have you ever heard of black light ink? Apparently it shows up only under black light (clubs etc.) and is super expensive?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
