lizzybeth 17 Posted April 26, 2012 I have passed all tests (upper GI twice, sleep study, blood work, classes, psych eval, etc) and have completed the 6 month requirement that my insurance says I need. My next appointment is with the surgeon, but they scheduled me for next month! I know every surgeon is different, but what can I expect on that visit? kczar 166 Posted April 26, 2012 Congratulations on getting your date! I'll be interested in hearing other people's input about this. I have to do the six month mambo too, so I feel your pain.
GivingItMyAll 168 Posted April 26, 2012 I just met with the surgeon and there were more tests ordered, as follow-ups. I have to do the sleep study, repeat one of the labs, see a pulmonologist, and then have the endonoscopy. After all of that, they will submit to the insurance company. During the meeting with the surgeon he went over all my labs, checked my old c-section scar, showed me where the insicions will be. We discussed how much weight I would possibly loose with diet and exercise. His nurse practicioner also did a work-up which included a rectal exam.
