Lyra 43 Posted April 26, 2012 So yesterday was my surgery and it seems everything is going well. Granted I kinda freaked out when coming out of anesthesia because I was cold, shaking, nauseaus, and tied down to the table. I loathe being tied down and apparently when I was still half out I started thrashing around like a "wild woma ". Luckily I did of hurt myself or them. Shew! So my question : I can't have liquids or Jello until my leak test tomorrow and my stomach is making weird noises and is sore. I can feel gas moving around inside, but I'm also feeling weird hunger pains. Do y'all think it's just the gas gurgling makin me think I'm hungry? Honestly I was hoping I would have disinterest in food. I w got Ll these fears now that maybe it wont work or something. Stupid, I know, but I could definitely use some words of advice right now.... patkaye 2 Posted April 26, 2012 I was sleeved on April 4th and those sound you hear are very common. I wrote in about that myself. It sounds like a gremlin or bear just roaring, lol. It does go away at 3 weeks I no longer hear it. It is gas! - get up and start moving that is the best thing you can do. You won't have any interest in food for the first week, until you CAN start eating and then you will obsess about what you can eat. You will see a huge weight loss during the first 2-3 weeks which will keep you on track. - Just drink your liquids as much as possible, you don't want to be dehydrated. Good luck - You got this!! 2 Lissa and Ms skinniness reacted to this
Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted April 26, 2012 It would be highly beneficial for you to sleep in an upright position. You do have gas in your abdomin area so walk, walk, walk, and try to get as much rest as you can. You will be going home really soon. Let us know how your doing. shellbell33081 115 Posted April 26, 2012 the hunger you are feeling is most likely just gas. i'm 6 days post-op and still get it some, but it only lasts a few seconds. good luck!
