I would like you to look at it from the perspective... If you can eat 1200 early on how many calories will you be eating a year out? Double? That is a lot of calories for a woman! You only have the first six months. Don't eat like you would a year out. This is what I ate today:

3 cheese sticks 80 calories each

Small bowl of Mac & cheese 200 calories

Lean cuisine 250 calories

2 eggs 80 calories each

1 sausage 80 calories

1/2 bottle of green juice 140 calories

Today so far I am at 1070 calories. This was a big eating day for me! I normally never drink anything With calories, but the naked green juice was so good!

Today was not a I want to lose weight day. It was a hungry day! I could eat more, but I will try not to.

So this is at month 10. I ate 1/2 of this in the beginning.

My NUT recommended between 800-1000 calories a day for optimal weight loss. I'm not really exercising yet due to complications but I have a feeling I'll be heading towards that 1000 calorie mark when I do start.

I just went to the doctor for my 6 week check up. They did a body composition analysis. I was told to eat around 1500 calories a day for weight loss. I said that seemed like a lot, and asked if I could go with closer to 1200. She said it was fine, but if I stall again then I should think about eating more.

Here's the deal though. We're all different. Different ages, different amounts of muscle, etc. Everyone needs to take responsibility for their own health and, with the help of their medical team, figure out what works on an individual basis.

A Nutritionist went to college for years why dont they try and get you to understand that calories are just not calories. Research always helps. I just cant believe Nuts just want a paycheck instead of actually trying to help a person learn.

I attached a better understanding for some of you. This may help you out alot.

My nutritionist said to stick to 800 cals, but make sure to get in 63g of Protein a day. That's worked well for me. When I've upped the cals I've slowed the weight loss. I eat lots of protein, then fruit, I have 1oz of nuts every day, very rarely do I eat Pasta or grains.
