Izzysnanny 4 Posted April 24, 2012 My question is I have long hair but it is kinda thin mostly per strand, so should i cut it to my shoulders or shorter before surgery? and will it grow back???
beautifulnewme2012 164 Posted April 24, 2012 Short hair can be a double edged sword...sometimes easier to wash and dry but, depending on what style u get, harder to keep up with. If you cut it, keep it something simple. You will thank yourself if its low maintenance while you are healing. And it will grow back. Might not as fast as pre surgery...so know that. But you should be good to go!
Izzysnanny 4 Posted April 24, 2012 thank you Beautiful do you know if there is something i can take now and after to help it?
beautifulnewme2012 164 Posted April 24, 2012 Biotin is THE best...take daily starting now to strenghten your hair just in case and as soon as ur doc says its ok after surgery....also, get a good hair serum. I use Chi silk infusion and Peratin...I switch back and forth cause I like playing with products..LOL. the Chi should be easy enuff to track down.
betterthanbefore 19 Posted April 24, 2012 Biiotin and Iron pills for sure.i would not cut it right now. Wait until after surgery..they say that Hair loss will happen after 4 months of surgery but take Biotin and iron now to minimize...remember it is easy to cut hair but to grow it back is soooo hard!!
