jaymzee 79 Posted April 24, 2012 Hey guys, i am new here. I will be having my surgery on 5/14 if all goes to plan. I needed some support and information so i have been on this site alot on my phone. Anywhoo, I have my pre surgical class today. I will learn all about our pre op diet and post op, get list to go grocery shopping with, find out when and how to exercise and all that fun stuff. 20 days to go.. and my nerves are REALLY getting the best of me. I have never had a surgery before. I am TERRIFIED! =(
thebionicbroad 127 Posted April 24, 2012 I'd be there with pom-poms if I could, to cheer you on to a new beginning. How about being shocked every time you looked in a mirror, because you like what you see? How about buying regular-sized clothes off the rack? How about fitting into airplane seats, and stadium seating, and folding chairs? Keep your eyes on those things, and find someone supportive to help you through the nerves. Surgery is scary if it's your first. Take a deep breath, and buy a piece of clothing two sizes smaller. You'll be wearing it soon. Prayed for you.
