anniew 13 Posted April 24, 2012 AMAZING how such a small amount if food fills me up! What fills you up?
topgun 63 Posted April 24, 2012 I fill up with so little food that eating just isn't important anymore. I'm a little over 3 weeks post op and I fill up on 1/3 cup or even less.

isntsheclever 38 Posted April 24, 2012 lunch was 2oz chicken and less than 1/8 of Shelly's Cauliflower Pie (theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com). PM snack was one hardboild egg and one of those small Cuties oranges. I was sleeved 3/14.
outoftherain 13 Posted April 24, 2012 depends on the food. I can sip a Soup and hand and drink the whole thing. I think it is like 300 mls. Yogurt I can eat about 1/3 cup. I had 1 oz of chicken cooked in the crock pot with mushroom Soup and a spoonful of mashed potatoes. I agree with you that food doesn't seem as important anymore I'm 3 weeks out tomorrow 1 anniew reacted to this
rodswife 155 Posted April 24, 2012 Today I had about 2oz of tilapia and a teaspoon of avocado and felt so full by the time I was done. It was a terrible feeling.
Sassygirl06 962 Posted April 24, 2012 it depends on what I am eating. if it is meat, then I will be full after a couple of bites...if it is yogurt or that kind of food then I can eat about 1/2 cup.
KingOxNyc 22 Posted April 24, 2012 I'm about 4-8 ounces Depending on what I'm eating...I'm now finding I'm eatin more frequently and that's where I need to to watch what I'm grazing on
kayte819 95 Posted April 24, 2012 I can eat abt 1/2 cup per meal total - Usually about 3oz of dense Protein & a couple bites of veggies. I'm about 3 mos out. Down 57 lbs. Whooo hoo!!!
Dooter 1,457 Posted April 24, 2012 10 weeks- one chicken taco. $3.25 (that is, a GOOD taco. not Taco Bell;)
3lilrams 37 Posted April 26, 2012 I was sleeved on 2/13/12, so I am 2.5 months out. I can drink all day long, usually a Protein shake, and crystal light, and thats all I need. I don't eat much of anything at all...when I do eat food, I can eat 4oz of Cereal, or half a cup of yogurt, or if its meat, I can only eat a couple bites. It is so odd your eating habits change after surgery. Before, when we would eat out, usually I would pick a place for the family...now, I leave it up to my husband, and will share a plate with my youngest son. I graze. A few bites here and there. BUT, I still make sure I get my Protein in each day. My highest weight was 325 I was sleeved on 2/13/2012, weighing in at 310. Today, at 2.5 months out, I weigh in at 250! I still have a goal weight of 150, realistically at 175.

But of course, i stuffed with just 100mls of lite Protein shake.. for now i guess? I see a lot of you eating real healthy for months, and i'm really envious, how you guys cope.. I'm still learning, still new to my sleeve.... Hope i have the strength like all of you!! Good Luck to all!
Jocy 10 Posted April 26, 2012 I'm 9 days post op and I salivate too but it's only your mind playin games with you. Don't get me wrong I see all these commercials and I get anxious but I think it's our mind playing games with us. I have lost 25 pounds so far.. Yay

3lilrams 37 Posted April 26, 2012 it gets easier ladies, I promise you! I never really was bothered by my family eating in front of me...yes the food always looked yummy, but I think its mind over matter! You have to remember, we all did this for good reason, to be healthy again. And I can promise you, IT WORKS! You will feel better, and be happier.
