Blah... I Just Ate A Huge Piece Of Cornbread And An Oreo Cookie!

Recommended Posts

Why does the bad stuff go down so easy!! When I eat my Protein it's much harder to get down and I can't eat nearly as much of it. I am worried I won't win this battle if I do little cheats like that. I am only two months out from surgery and down 32lbs. Sometimes I feel like I just loose control and have to have something sweet!!!! Arg! So mad at myself!

Ok, first thing, do not beat yourself up about this. You are DOWN 32 lbs, obviously you are doing something right. We are going to have slip-ups so just look forward, not back. What is done is done. When you fall off the horse get up, dust yourself off and get back on! Best of luck to you :D

Yep, you F***** up royally. So what. Get the cornbread and the oreo Cookies out of the house. I take joy in throwing them away now. That's my pleasure. If they're not around you will not be tempted. I would also check out LilMissDiva's Basic Bootcamp in the food and nutrition section and stay on that program for about 3 to 5 days to get the sweet tooth in check. Time to pull up your boot straps and get back to the basics. You can do this, you've done a great job so far! Keep Rockin that Sleeve. ;)

Try not to be mad at yourself, it happens to everyone. Tomorrow is another day. Just think of how much you could have fit in before the sleeve!

You're doing great, this isn't a deal breaker. :)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
