Husband Help

but I know my man and hes to selfish for that. He rarely thinks of me (christmas and birthdays are a nightmare!)

I just scared BeBe from my sudden outburst of laughing!!

That was too funny!

When I was first banded, Mike would buy (every now and then) something bad. When I would question him WHY he brought it into the house, he'd say: "You're the one starving yourself - Not ME!"

No Cookies, chips, colas, junk stuff... and men think we're trying to starve 'em!

Hey there,

take your vacation to enjoy yourself and each other for a while away from home and work and his family...

Then when you come back you need to work on yourself and the best choices you can do for you and hopefully hubby will fall in with you and want the same things you want...

"If" he doesn't then finally there isn't so much you can do. I know when those I loved tried to 'help' me out and I didn't want to do what they said, I went into 'bite your nose to spite your face' mode and ate even more. Your hubby is an adult and he has to decided to make good choices for himself...no chips in the house is a good start and he should respect that for you...but if he goes and buys them and eats them elsewhere then not much you can do.

So start by enjoying some time out together and then see if that can transfer into a mutual support for health and diet when you get home.

Have a great vacation!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
