I know from reading about other people's journey this is common. I got on the scale today and was up 1 pound. I am not freaking out since I know I have been doing everything I am supposed to do. I have no problem getting in my Protein mostly through shakes and Water. I started eating mushy foods on Friday, not alot and mostly protein. So I guess this is normal right?. I am logging everything on my fitness pal. I have decided not to weigh myself everyday but 1x a week now. Please tell me this is normal. I was sleeved on 4/4 and have lost 20lb, well 19 now. Thanks

Yep.... This is totally normal. This is probably your 3 week stall period where you will be adjusting in inches instead of lbs loss. I myself prefer to lose inches over lbs. The 1 lb gain could be Water weight also. Drink lots of water to stay hydrated. Keep up the good work! You have done an excellent job. ;)

It could be about 3 weeks. It's a time where our bodies are redistributing our weight and going down in inches. Start drinking a lot of Water to help flush toxins out of your body, that could help in breaking the stall. ;)

Yeah, sounds like the 2 week stall. Almost all of us hit it. Most stalls last a week to 10 days, but could go longer. Don't fret. Perfectly normal. Just keep doing what you need to do and it will start back up. Good luck! :)

Yeah, no sweat. Your weight loss is right in the ball park. Don't weigh every day, it can bum you out and make your weight loss seem slower than it actually is. If you know you're following "the program", weight loss is inevitable. It's just not predictable. Keep it up!

I just broke my first stall. It lasted Weeks 3-5. I ended up breaking it by eating about 200 more calories per day.

Drink tons of Water. Don't weigh everyday. Make sure you're rating enough calories (to prevent your body from going into "starvation mode"). And focus on the wonderful changes you are making in you're life. The weight will come off. It practically has to!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
