I probably will mangle it a bit, but I think it's: "You don't drown by falling in the water; you drown by staying there." That is so helpful to me because it reminds me that I can fall off the wagon and climb back on. Now that I'm at goal with the rest of my life in front of me, maintenance is my biggest worry. The other night I dreamed that I thought I was 170 (I think my mind is still adjusting to the fact that my new normal is 135), but when I stepped on the scale ! was 20 lbs more, 190. Now I can still remember pre-surgery when I was trying so hard to get under 200 and 190 was a dream I just couldn't achieve, but in this dream it was a nightmare! I think the fears will settle with time. But in the meantime, instead of drowning, I'm gonna remember to stand up when I fall down! Lynda Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
