Looking For Sleevers Who Did The Sleeve Bootcamp Or Pouch Test

Recommended Posts

I just wanted to know if there are people who fell off the wagon and felt that they had ruined their sleeve or felt it was not working anymore. Can that happen?

I would like to hear from people who did lil miss diva's boot camp or the pouch 5 day plan even though we don't have pouches. Did you feel a big difference?

Oh, and is it true that some surgeons do tighter sleeves than others or is this a myth?

Search "Help! 9 Months Out And Problem Need Info Not Encouragement?". Scroll into the first reply to the OP and you will find the directions to the boot camp. I'm just finished with day 4 out of 5 - weight has gone from 150.4-146.6 in the first three days, looking forward to weighing tomorrow and Friday.

I'm only 12 weeks out and already thinking about going back to do a recalibration for several days. I can eat more now than I could since surgery and I am losing sooooooo slowly.

I did the 5 day pouch test. I lost 4-5 pounds and broke a stall. The main thing about the pouch test is it just breaks your routine. Most of us start out very strict after surgery, but bad habits can and do creep back in our lives. But they creep back in so slowly as to not be noticed. The pouch test basically takes you back to that strict regimen for a few days and breaks those habits.

I do the 5 day pouch test about every 6 wks or so. It does work with breaking a stall and helps keep me on track. I feel that it gives my system a break and I feel better. I also drink a lot of Water. Good luck!

I just finished day 2 of the 5 day pouch test. This is my first time trying it out. I worked too hard to get to where I was, so I am regrouping. I have discovered that when I get stressed I eat more carbs and chocolate. I am hoping this will help me get back on track.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
