gwynne 14 Posted April 23, 2012 Hi guys, was wondering if anyone encountered the same problem i have. I'm 2days post still in d hospital and doing my leaak test later. My blood sugar is really high since im out from d op. Any one has d same case? Most i read post op they stop medication, i dono y but feel helpless like this surgery was done for nothing? Also as im typing this the nurse told me i probably cant go hm until there is nothing in d drain bag?? Isit tru? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
smileen 17 Posted April 23, 2012 Everyone is different mine was high right after surgery stress and pain can causes a climb in blood sugar Im sure you know! but after a few days mine settled down and when I left hospital it was not high enough to need medicine at home. Try and relax and let it happen you are eating so little calorie wise you know it will come down. I am 3 months out and have not needed meds. Good luck to you! sym38 7 Posted April 23, 2012 Hi there! I didn't have blood sugar issues, but as far as the drain goes, mine stayed in a week and had stuff in it til the last 2 days before it was removed.
