startingmyjourney 2 Posted April 22, 2012 So hopefully this isn't bad. I'm Mexican American and during the summer months I make "aguas frescas." they are natural ripen fruit blended with Water a little ice and sugar, I used Splenda. I made one today of watermelon/sandia. I know they say not to eat watermelon but I thought this was a good way to higher my Fluid intake.
iegal 460 Posted April 22, 2012 Just be careful of the sugar intake - even in Spenda. Great way to be creative on your Fluid intake.
startingmyjourney 2 Posted April 23, 2012 Yes i use Splenda in a large glass with lots of ice so it gets really watered down.
BenisaMartim4 369 Posted April 23, 2012 I bought some of this from a little Mexican lady at our local trade-day last month. Mine was pineapple and it was astounding! She told me it was "water" so I was surprised when it was so sweet. It is not something that I would drink all the time, but they only have trade-day once a month and we don't even go every time; so, I believe I have found myself a special treat It was even better when I bought the bag of fresh, hot Pork rinds to go with it..lol.
