njs_star627 19 Posted April 22, 2012 I have been very bad and have not been taking my medicine to coat my stomach or to prevent gallstones. To begin I recently just got them due to not having my prescription cards, then skipped cause my stomach wasn't empty which one required, lastly I can not tolerate the taste. I tried "tricking" my apple sauce and tea and it just completely over powers. Good point: I am able to get my liquids in. Probably should do some more Water. Am I looking for trouble here? I haven't had an issue, however, I had only a couple gall stones before surgery and my gall bladder looked healthy. If you've had previous issues, you might run into trouble, whether you take the pills or not. Keep your diet lean and it'll help. The fat your body will process through weight loss will be enough for your gall bladder to handle.
diochick 40 Posted April 22, 2012 My surgeon doesn't prescribe meds post op for gall stones. He said they'll correct the issue if it occurs, but it's not too big of a post op issue in his practice.
