I just have to tell everyone about the wonderful experience I had today. While shopping for dresses for my sister's wedding, we stopped at Ruby Tuesday for lunch. When I was there 2 weeks ago, my sister ordered an appetizer, salad bar and dinner. I, HAPPILY, enjoyed the salad bar, slowly so as not to finish quickly and end up rushing my sister. Their salad bar is SOOO Yummy! This time, I explained to the waitress, that I had surgery and my stomach is now very small. I asked. if I get the crab cake appetizer, can I get salad bar for $2.99 as if I ordered it with an entree. She had no problem with it. I love understanding people. :D So I nibbled on the salad, and ate 1/2 a crab cake. DELISH!!

BTW their crab cakes are not real bready.

Their crab cakes are the best. Mostly crab, just enough filling to get it to stick together. I used to get the crab cakes and steamed broccoli with the salad bar but since I can't eat salad yet, I haven't been there since surgery. I've been dying to go since that's my favorite meal. Glad you enjoyed it!

That's awesome. I love Ruby Tuesday. I actually went there tonight with my mom, and we split the petite sirloin with mashed cauliflower and green Beans. It was really nice.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
