daniellec 10 Posted April 22, 2012 Just went down rough and I got SUPER nauseous. With and w/o tortilla. I ate 1 full piece out of 6 ...my daughter loved them today left over. I did try again today and immediately nauseous. I am having a lot of trouble with chicken in general. Except canned chicken that seems ok. Can't wait to see my NUT Tuesday so I can maybe get some ideas/suggestions how and what to eat .......all my info is pretty vague !

JDHenin 165 Posted April 22, 2012 Ugh. That sux. Maybe *peices* of chicken is too much. Might not be ready for that solid yet.
LeeLeeLosing 21 Posted April 22, 2012 I have discovered chicken in any form but canned or in chicken salad wreaks havoc on my stomach. Im almost six weeks out and I guess it will have to wait for further down the road.
chitowngirl 886 Posted April 23, 2012 You can try shrimp quesodilla, it's high Protein and soft foods, I've also had shrimp fajitas, and they usually come with Beans which is a mushy food. Overall my sleeve seems to love shrimp, so I'd go for anything non fried shrimp.
clk 3,519 Posted April 23, 2012 Both chicken and tortilla can be trouble foods for some folks. Tortillas are a no-go for me even now. I hate not knowing if just one more tiny bite is going to be the one that puts me in pain! I'd stick with Soup at this point, but that's because my surgeon had a strict post op diet. A really flavorful, rich Soup like something you'd get at Red Lobster could work but you could find a good soup just about anywhere. Maybe a tiny nibble here and there of something soft from your husband's plate and a spoon of a soft dessert for good measure. Everything in moderation! Just take it easy and don't get frustrated if you find you can't eat more than a few bites. Enjoy yourself, and Happy Anniversary! ~Cheri
Indymom 132 Posted April 26, 2012 You might be a little early out for chunks of chicken. I didn't start eating "regular" chicken (and other meats) until 8 weeks out - after week 4 my nutritionist allowed canned chicken and tuna, but I always mixed with a small amount of mayo and dill relish for tuna/chicken salad. That made it really moist.
kenbr14 12 Posted May 1, 2012 I agree it is too early for chicken. I am 8 weeks out and now I can eat a drumstick at the most. I had also 2 small pieces of grilled chicken.
