Heartburn

before VSG I never had a day in my life that I had heartburn. Since surgery I have it daily. I take pepcid complete twice a day and it helps some but not completly. The worst part is waking up in the morning and you can feel the acid coming up your throat. Does anyone else have this issue and if they did what did they do to make it GO AWAY !!

Talk to your doctor, he may be able to prescribe something stronger. I'm taking Protonix although I'm now beginning to doubt its effectiveness because I went to bed with heartburn and woke up with it, too.

I don't face Heart burn as often as pre-surgery, but I have a prescription of Nexium and I swear by it's effectiveness!
