My friend experienced almost the exact same thing as you and also had a bend in her sleeve because of scar tissue and the way she healed. Her surgeon was able to go in, cut the scar tissue away, and re-tack her stomach down to the surrounding tissue and when she woke up she said even through the surgical pain she felt so much better. It was that fast. Now she's at her goal, eats whatever she wants (within reason of course!) and just generally feels great. I so hope you are able to have a similar experience!!

Vampsy, I think you should tell the surgeon about Bedhead's post, maybe even print it out and take it with you so they will at least consider the repair instead of the revision. I do hope they will be able to repair the problem. God bless...Kathe

ok... Here it goes... I just really need to vent. Having major regrets. I know I may get bashed for this. But it's ok. I have no where else to vent. It may all be sunshine and rainbows for everybody else' date=' but for me, it's been hell. At nine weeks out, I still can't tolerate solid food. I'm upset and jealous that I can't eat. I'm sick of Protein shakes, Soup, and yogurt. Yes, I have lost weight but who wouldn't on a liquid diet for this long along with vomiting??? Now I'm going in tomorrow for another endoscopy to find out what the issue is. My Dr is very concerned but I'm ready to give up. I am hating life. I so sick and tired of feeling sick and tired. I honestly wish I could rewind time and get my tummy back.[/quote']

Thanks for being honest. It gives a balances opinion of the surgery. You know I am still going to have it. You know what they say about things being to good to be true. Honestly at this point i would sell my soul to be normal. hope your doctor is able to figure out the issue and fix it pronto. Sending some positive energy your way.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
