Yes- the diet green tea citrus flavor is different than normal lipton green tea.

You can buy it in the bottle or the gallon...... Its a nice mellow citrus/herbal flavor- just a hint of sweetness. Its ment to be drank cold.

I cant drink normal green tea that you brew from tea bags... Tastes like dirt to me ;). If you can only get green tea via tea bags where you are at, i would put lots of sugar substitute and or milk to mask the flavor! It is susposed to be very good for you.

A total bonus for green tea is that it helps you be "regular" again.

It differs in that; the diet green tea has added aspartame(thus diet no sugar added), and a citrus flavoring. I'm sure it does have some antioxidant effect, but I don't think as much as regular green tea does per serving.

a great alternative is to buy lipton green tea in bags, steep it in about 1/3 cup of very hot Water and then pour it over ice. Add a little stevia to sweeten if you must, but this is a great cold beverage where you control the ingredients!

You don't even have to brew it. Fill a pitcher with cold Water, add a family-size Decaf green tea bag ( or three or four regular bags) and stick it in the fridge overnight. In the morning remove the tea bags and you're ready to go.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
