eylish 23 Posted April 20, 2012 I didn't use anything, I just rinsed them off in the shower and when they were totally healed I started putting bio oil on them. They are still pink but not an angry red anymore.

SkinnyMom2b 14 Posted April 20, 2012 I did the same thing we do where I work, took off dressings 48 (day surgeries we do 24 but I didn't get in the shower at hospital) hours after surgery then got in the shower. Ran under soapy Water, rinsed and patted dry. My drain incision was a little bit more open and draining so on my own I just rinsed peroxide over it for a few days although some of our surgeons don't like the stuff... Seannie 42 Posted April 20, 2012 I use Silicone Scar sheets as recommended by my surgeon. They help significantly reduce swelling, puffiness, keloids, etc... You wear them 12 hours a day for approx. 10 to 12 weeks. I've read good reviews.. www.myscaraway.com. I have a tendency to get "hyperthropic" (sp??) scars.. that can get raised and look very similar to keloids. I've read these silicone strips prevent that from happening. Just started wearing them so keeping my fingers crossed!
mesaucedo 207 Posted April 23, 2012 I am not too worried about my scarring, I have stretch marks all over my tummy anyhow, but was wondering when your incision marks faded a bit. Mine are a raspberry pink color and very bright! Any input?
