LauraD 8 Posted April 19, 2012 I am pre op but I am wondering from those who have been sleeved for a while. Do you have to take Vitamins and Protein Shakes for ever? I hate Protein shakes they make me sick.
Mews 37 Posted April 19, 2012 My NUT does not want me to drink Protein Shakes after the first few months. She said that it's because she wants us to have regular diets. There are ways of getting around Protein shakes but I've found in the beginning, as we can only eat so much, that it's the easiest. The Vitamins are forever from what I've been able to gather. 1 JDHenin reacted to this

JDHenin 165 Posted April 19, 2012 Hi there. My surgeon specifically told me that once my I'm done with my post op restrictions, he wants me on 3 meals a day, solid food. He's been adamant about this since the beginning. The more liquids you drink, the hungrier you'll feel, after a short time. Solids keep you fuller longer. I can't wait to get off this shake and mushy diet. 2 more weeks. As for the Vitamins, I take 2 Multivitamin chewables, and 2 Calcium chews per day. Not too bad. Mews 37 Posted April 20, 2012 What and how many Vitamins do you have to take? I take Multivitamins twice a day, Calcium twice a day, Iron once a day, and B12 once a day. It's tough keeping it all straight but I keep one of those big pill cases and put all of my pills for a week in there. This way I can make sure I actually take my Vitamins.< /p>
