Okay, I'm gonna share what I made for dinner tonight....it was soooo yummy. It was inspired by Yoda:hail: !!

Sauteed in olive oil...onions, garlic, red pepper, green pepper, mushrooms, fresh tomatos, salt, pepper, oregano.

Then I made alfredo sauce on the side. I took penne Pasta, covered with the veggies, then a bit of alfredo sauce on top, topped off with fresh shaved parm cheese!!!!!! OMG..Soooooo Good.:hungry:

Now, does that mean I'm off the hook for cooking for a few months?

Here is an easy recipe that you may want to try

Line a baking dish with chicken breast ( you can substitute with turkey, you can use left over turkey that's already been cooked). Add a can of cream of mushroom Soup. Top with prepared struffing, I use Stove Top Stuffing. Bake until the chicken is cooked. (it takes less time if you are using already cooked turkey).

I made this for supper yesterday, only after I prepared it I pureed it.

I'm still at that stage. Since I hadn't had any real food in almost a month, I really enjoyed it!!!

Interesting... and easy, Wheezy. haha! That rhymes! I'll have to try that.

I made something kinda like that it was called 'lazy persons chicken cordon bleu", I think. chicken breasts in a baking dish, slices of ham and swiss cheese on top, and then some stove top stuffing over that. Might have been other stuff too... so don't go trying that recipe!

Mmmmmmmmmmmm, that sounds soooo yummy Wheezy.

Loriely, when I make alfredo sauce I melt a little butter, add fresh garlic (alot), add table cream and cream cheese, when it's all melted I shred some parm cheese in. I know, I know it's deadly fattening, but it tastes so rich, you only need a little to satisfy......especially now, after banding.:(

The low-cal way is saute garlic in a little chicken Soup stock, add milk and fat free cream cheese. But I only make it like twice a year so I like it the REAL way!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
