anniew 13 Posted April 19, 2012 So my surgery was on April 4th. So far I have lost 23 pounds! I want to start shopping so bad. I'm at the mall now and I am overwhelmed with the choices and not sure if I should buy anything for fear of not fitting into it next week.
PdxMan 4,292 Posted April 19, 2012 I have been shopping at Goodwill since surgery. I have been going through sizes so quickly I hate to spend the money. I spent two weeks in size 38 jeans ... a month in 36s. Been in 34s but just went to Goodwill this past weekend and picked up 32s.
atkinsoncl 62 Posted April 19, 2012 I agree w/ pdxman! Don't spend a fortune on clothes that aren't going to fit you in 2 weeks. If you see something that really catches your eye, buy it, but I wouldn't go overboard. I know, it's easier said than done! Shopping is going to be so much fun . Nicki D 33 Posted April 19, 2012 I too will be shopping the local Goodwill after surgery. It is the best place to go when going through sizes.
NancyJerry 139 Posted April 19, 2012 I'm going to be able to shop in MY OWN CLOSET for awhile :-D
anniew 13 Posted April 19, 2012 Played it safe today. Bought myself a get well present. A new MK purse and matching wallet. That oughta hold my shopping itch for a while. Guess I will have to shop in my own closet for a little while too. 1 atkinsoncl reacted to this
suzcomptime 17 Posted April 19, 2012 I will also utilize my own closet for awhile, have lots of size 16's some still with tags. Once I go below that (amazing to think about), I will shop Goodwill until I feel settled. For now if I get a shopping bug, I buy something toward my surgery (nighty, different Soups, hot pad, small mesh strainer, etc) or shoes.
