missemy 0 Posted April 18, 2012 I'm about 2 weeks post op, and lost ten lbs my first week... But in weighing in this week, I've gain 4 lbs... I feel like I'm failing... Suggestions or thoughts? ~emily anne
4ALongerLife 329 Posted April 18, 2012 Are you getting your liquids in and your Protein? I think it's Water weight probably but yes, I understand how defeating that can be. Are you tracking what you are eating so that maybe if there is a 'sneak in' you can identify it?
missemy 0 Posted April 18, 2012 I'm getting anywhere between 45-65 g Protein, which is building up... I drink plenty, but haven't been able to get in the 64oz yet... I'm only 13 days post-op, so I'm still building up to getting all my stuff in... I just thought the lbs would still be falling off! Is it normal to already be gaining lbs this close after surgery??? ~emily anne
smileen 17 Posted April 18, 2012 You have barely begun you have 85% less stomach and your body is trying to figure out what is happening give it time to ajust and do yourself a favor stay away from the scale for 2 more weeks if you follow your post op diet you can't fail. We didn't gain wt. overnight loosing it will take time too. Relax and enjoy the wonderful feeling of eating just a little and being full. You know its going to come off!! bonbon0576 9 Posted April 18, 2012 You probably have some post-op swelling. Try not to let it get to you. Everyones body reacts differently to surgery and medications.
