Okay, somebody has to tell me how that was done. Is that a computer generated thingy? I know, I am pretty dumb when it comes to stuff like that.:rolleyes

That said, that was hilarious!

Any of youse seen a Fox Squirrel??? Seriously. They're awesome. Huge fox like tails. In Florida, no less.

I'm pretty sure Fox Squirrels eat cheese.< /p>

:pound:

Can't say I've seen the fox squirrel, but have seen a flying squirrel. It wasn't eating cheese at the time. I wouldn't put it past a squirrel to eat cheese.

I sure hope not. I loved reading this thread. There have been a lot of posts lately too, that remind me of this thread.

" I can eat a whole pizza, why am I not losing weight" type posts:cry:heh:

In general I think it is fair to say that the whole Rants and Raves section has become a pitiful shadow of its former glory. All I can say is, I tried. It's hard to feel motivated to raise interesting issues when the Thought Police are so determined to stamp out anything they deem to be in "bad taste."

Oh, Marjon, never say never! I will happily jump in as soon as you post something contentious. :ranger: I have been quite bored lately, you know. :help: And I adore bad taste as long as it isn't expressed through poor choices in dress. :heh:

Fear not, green, my dresses are always well chosen.

What tha? Have they been censoring???

Well, we three need to come up with something really ghastly and contentious!

I sure miss TOM. He always seemed to manage getting people's pants in a wad. :ranger:

I also miss TOM. And I never thought I'd say this, but I'm even starting to miss Ron Cusano.

be careful what you ask for...you want a rant I'll give you a rant!

That sounds good. The one thing I ask is that you write something that is highly offensive to a meaningful segment of the list membership.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
