Thread Killers

lol! My cat ditched me. I loved the bejesus out of him. And one day my roommate opened the door while I wasn't home and he split. He started life as an outside cat, and then was an indoor cat and he hated it even though he had a buddy. Maybe I wasn't subservient enough?

Evilah

Our kitten showed up at our house as a stray. After she spent two nights knocking on our front door we took her in. She was really nice to us when she first arrived but beat up on the resident cat, a large and very sweet cat, all the time. Then we discovered that tiny as she was she was pregnant. We paid for her shots, her abortion, and for her to be spayed. The big cat died from kidney failure. :cry And we were left with the kitten from hell! :tired Her good point is that she is not a picky eater.

Maybe she will ditch us someday.........:straight

Poor kitty! She had a rough start in life! How little was the kitten? I've seen young pregnant cats, but I don't know how young they can get pregnant... I wonder

The kitty litter cake was delicious. Of course I had to throw away about half of it because I would have kept picking at it and eating it.

Ooh, that kitty litter cake!!! :rolleyes I don't think I could have eaten it, not after years of dealing with cats and the used litter which is the inevitable result of dealing with cats.:) But the concept is absolutely brilliant!;)

As for the question of kittens and pregnancy, we once took in a stray kitten who was small enough that she could sit on my husband's foot and, yep, she was pregnant. The animal was probably about 7 months old at the time. She more than doubled her size after she started living with us. Of course we had her spayed and she ended up being one of the sweetest animals we have ever had. She was, however, a little flakey and this leads me to one of my theories about cats: the dumb ones are usually the nicest ones.

I prefer cheese to kill a thread

Is there a Smilie of a happy face pelting someone with cheese balls? If not, there should be.

NO CHEESE, Wavy.

Please, guys, no. We don't want a resurrection of the cheese enforcers.
Ditto. I read some of the old threads (from back when they were apparently banning people left and right). PLEASE don't get that crap started again. It had to be THE most annoying shit to read through. Made me want to gouge my eyes out.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
