cmeless 11 Posted April 17, 2012 My name is Hutch - I have a tentative date of May 9th with Dr Aceeves in Mexi -Cali I am a truck driver and struggle with weight loss so I have made the decision to be sleeved. I am nervous but not scared. I have been 100 lbs overweight for the last 10 years and I have tried every diet imaginable - and they work for a minute and then fail. I have no one to blame but myself. I have diabetes, sleep apnea, asthma and planter faciatias in my feet which causes me alot of pain. I hope and pray that after the surgery with time these conditions that I mention will go away. I recently got married to a beautiful woman that was sleeved in Janurary,2010- and when she said that I needed to get a passport I thought she was excited about going on vacation but little did I know she had other plans - I am happy though because I feel that this is the best decision for me and for us to live a long and healthy life together. If you all will join me in my upcoming journey I would greatly appreciate all of ur help and support. Thank you and God bless, Hutch 2 goofycathy and FluffyBleu76 reacted to this
TheNewSusie 471 Posted April 17, 2012 Hey Hutch, my boyfriend is also a truck driver so I understand a bit about being in the road. He also lives 5 hours from me so I see him on his home time and when he passes through. I'm aiming for late may early June and I chose Dr. Alvarez in piedras negras .... I am so ready. I know it can be hard to get in ur exercise abd take breaks on the road, but you can do it. Good luck!
FluffyBleu76 32 Posted April 18, 2012 My husband is a truck driver as well. He is not overweight at all but he has lost quite a bit of muscle mass and that isn't healthy either. Despite my dietary and health setbacks, I have equipped my hubby with many fresh fruits and veggies as for the past year he gets about 2 or 3 days home weekly (dedicated routes are awesome). He also does a lot of walking at home and hopefully he will start strength training with me when I can exercise :-) I know how hard it is maintain healthy eating on the road but I think with this tool, you can regain your health! You already have the support of a loving spouse that is soooooooo vital. I wish you many blissful and healthy years Hutch. Congratulations on taking charge of your life.
