traceyc 89 Posted April 17, 2012 I feel good as long as I get in at least 50 grams of Protein, but 70 grams is better. The few days I didn't plan well and had very little protein, I felt super weak and tired. When I don't get my fluids in for a couple days in a row and don't feel great either. What is your protein and Fluid intake right now?
Michellefaina 45 Posted April 17, 2012 YES!!! I was exhausted, dizzy, felt Like I was going to faint each time I stood up and weak for the first three weeks! When I was finally able to start soft foods I slowly started to gain more stamina. Now I am about 1.5 months out and I feel great! Hang in there it's gets better! linkybo 27 Posted April 17, 2012 My nutritionalist wants us to have 100 grams of Protein (stopping to take a drink) every day for the three weeks (another drink) after surgery. (drink) That's four Protein drinks, or 2 ounces an hour from 6 am to 9pm. I think maybe some of the weight is lost by walking to the bathroom all the time! Even with all that Protein, though, I still need an afternoon nap. If you take it at dinner time, you miss the family feeding frenzy.
