Every day, tablets that are held under the tongue.

I was originally told once a week under the tongue. Then, after my first blood test at 3 month, it was a bit low, so I now take it twice a week.

Have you been sleeved? How far out are you? Have you had blood work done? What does your Dr say?

I take the B-12 tablet sublingual daily with my Vitamins but I was curious about getting B-12 via Poweraide Zero.

I drink 6-8 servings of Poweraide Zero a day and it says each serving has 15% of your daily B-12. Does that mean I am getting a larger dose of B-12?

But I thought that B-12 was not absorbed via the stomach? Any thoughts?

The nutritionist told ne it isn't absorbed very well in the stomach and even less with small tummies. Hence, the need for sublingual.< /p>

I used to take the sublingual tablets every day but was recently tested and found that even that wasn't enough. I just got my first B12 shot and WOW what a world of difference! I feel about a billion times better than I have in a very long time.

So take your tablets daily but be sure to get labs done around six months and one year to see if you're deficient in anything. Now that I'm on B12 (and taking new Iron supplements) I'm doing a lot better.

And yes, it doesn't matter how much B12 you consume in your diet or pills that you must digest because you need more stomach to absorb it than we have after being sleeved.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
