Concerns For A Newbie...

Recommended Posts

I'm so glad I'm amongst friends! (Wait... am I posting in the right place?) I had some concerns that I thought you all might have some insight on. I am worried about stretching. Is it normal to worry about this? :)

I am also having a hard time pacing myself and slowing down - A LOT. I guess old habits die hard, right? Old habits die dramatically and with explosions and fireworks. My old habits seem to die like Willem Dafoe's epic demise in Platoon.

Ok, so slowing down and taking small bites is eluding me. I keep asking myself,..."Case, is it REALLY that hard to take smaller bites and slow down?" And the resounding answer is usually yes.

Any tips? Anyone else worried about such things so early on? The Doodle needs help!

P.S. 25 lbs down, lots to go.

I wonder, when were you sleeved. That is something I hate to admit that I have an issue with also. I do not worry about stretching my sleeve for I can not eat a whole bunch but I eat normal bites and am not real slow about eating, but when I have had enough, I have had enough. I do not like the feeling of being overfull so I tend to graze eat every two or three hours.

Nothing is consumed in tiny bits that last 30 mins. I feel good and have no issues...... well except for contstipation sometimes but I think that has to do with so much protien. Sorry if to my info.

I found that eating with a baby spoon and fork has slowed me down a lot and has also forced me to take smaller bites.

I also had a problem with this. I just discovered what works for me. First I use with baby spoon and forks, once I take a bite, I wait over a full minute until I take a full bite. So I check the clock when I finish chewing, let's say 2:23 I will until 2:25 to take another bite.
