whaletail0731 2 Posted April 16, 2012 I got the " anything in a blender" point, but just want some meat if I can to eat. Friends told me about low fat healthy style chicken salad and tuna and egg salad. Any other suggestions. Post op day 7.
Malyss 31 Posted April 16, 2012 During my pureed stage, I would cook chicken thighs and breasts up in the crock pot until they were very tender. Sometimes, I would save the broth from the pot to puree the chicken with. Other times, I would puree the chicken (minus the bones and skin of course) with spaghetti sauce (I used some delicious sauce that I'd made at home). I would layer the spaghetti sauce pureed chicken with fat free cottage cheese in a very small bowl to take with me for lunch. It was somewhat reminiscent of lasagna. Jack Fabulous 35 Posted April 16, 2012 I bought my pureed food from a company called Blossom Foods. They are frozen 5 oz containers of meals like pot roast, chicken enchilada, chili, cheese ravioli, etc. Depending on the actual food they range between 15 - 20 g of Protein and 150 - 200 calories. It worked out really well for me cause I could take it anywhere with me and pop it in the microwave for 3 min and eat. I like it so much that I still eat them even though I am on solids now. They help me control my calories and portion size. www.blossomfoods.com 1 4ALongerLife reacted to this

Tai29 17 Posted April 16, 2012 When I was in this stage I made a hummus consistency tuna. I had a bit of egg, relish (no sugar or fat in this surprisngly) and onion with low fat miracle whip (i'm not a mayo person) .. It was the best food I'd ever had especially coming from just liquids.< /p>
